Sterna Winery & Wine Museum
If you fancy a day away from the hustle and bustle of town life, head towards the incredibly charming village of Kathikas and the wonderful Sterna Winery and Wine Museum where a warm welcome awaits you to enjoy their fabulous hospitality and taste their excellent wines and schnapps.
Cyprus has a very long history of wine making which can be traced back almost 6000 years with many of the vineyards located in the Paphos area, Sterna Winery is one of the most popular and is just a short drive from many of our holiday villas. You can enjoy a wonderful wine tasting experience, visit the ancient cave cellars used to store the wine until maturity, learn some interesting facts about the wine making process and pick up some great souvenirs including virgin olive oil, Cyprus delights, honey and locally made lace from their onsite shop.
The location of this winery alone is well worth the visit, as you will enjoy the most wonderful views in peaceful and tranquil surroundings and you will definitely be leaving with a bottle or 2, or even a case or 2 of delicious fine tasting wine! And as an added bonus, as valued guests of CVR, mention you are staying in one of our villas and you will receive a little discount on your wine purchases – Yiamas! ?
